11/01/2011 - The CCYHA Blue Jackets Special Hockey team, in partnership with the Columbus Blue Jackets and the American Special Hockey Association, is pleased to announce an awareness night on the main ice at Nationwide Arena.

The night starts with an "invitation only" skate with our athletes, their families, and our special guests to be quickly followed by the main event, a game between your CCYHA Blue Jackets Special Hockey team and the visiting Steel City Icebergs starting at 7:30.

Admission to the game is free and Parking is available at any of the surface lots or garages in the area.

Special invited guests are set to include Marc Methot (Columbus Blue Jackets), Kristian Huselius (Columbus Blue Jackets), Martin Spanhel (CAHL Commisioner), Jen Bowden (Executive Director Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation), Stinger, Living Beyond Autism, Sanese, and many, many more.

Come out and help as raise awareness of special needs hockey in Central Ohio and the surrounding communities!!!!

9/01/2011 - A fond farewell to Coach Kelly and Coach Mike. We appreciate all they have done to start and foster this team. They have moved on to the next chapter in their lives, but Coaches Brad Park and Jenna Commisa have very graciously agreed to take over the team.

That said, it's time to register the kids for the team and USA Hockey. If you plan to play this year, please be sure to register, first, with USA Hockey (https://www.usahockeyregistration.com/) and then with CCYHA (http://ccyha.org -> click on "Special Needs Hockey"), as soon as possible. In order for Coach Brad and Coach Jenna to get some ice time, we need to get players registered ASAP. Once you have registered, email either of them to inform them.
